Honoring Our Veterans
Join us for a special performance by veteran, Jason Whitaker, in an adaptation of the play Every Brilliant Thing by Duncan MacMillan and Jonny Donahoe, along with an exhibition downstairs in honor of our veterans. Donations are appreciated and all proceeds will go to the Armed Services Arts Partnership. With profound gratitude, we honor our veterans for their selfless sacrifice and recognize the ongoing journey of healing they so bravely undertake.

Legendary Book Sale
The SCC will be sponsoring our annual book sale at the War Memorial Building. It is bigger.. better.. annnd longer than ever!
The Sale starts with The Preview Reception on Thursday October 10th from 6-9pm with a $20 admission; SCC members get your first book free! The Preview reception is a chance to purchase books before we open it up to the public. 2 floors of books!
It continues Friday October 11th with no entry fee until October 19th from 10-6 every day AND Sunday October 20th is deep discount at $5/a box!!
All proceeds from the sale go to the maintenance of The War Memorial Building and Morgan’s Grove Park.
Our Fall booksale offers tons of books from History to Science to DYI books. There is even a children’s section, so everyone finds a great book. Teachers- free children's books with ID!

Bring your waders, boots tools & smiles to get IN the Run & pull OUT what DOESN’T Belong!! Every 2nd Saturday, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Meet at Morgan’s Grove Park pavilion. Labor Day Picnic & Boot Sale
This year’s picnic will feature live music, games, and activities for all ages. SCC will be grilling out and selling concessions, including vegetarian options. Bring a side dish to share if you like! It’s a great way to celebrate Labor Day with family and friends in the community. Kona Ice will be there, too, slinging cool Hawaiian shaved ice treats for the whole family!
In addition to the picnic, SCC is hosting a Boot Sale, where community members can sell yard sale items or handmade goods. Spaces for the boot sale are $25 each. As one of the biggest yard sale days of the year, this is a great opportunity to find unique items or clear out your garage. Spots are limited, so visit our website to reserve yours today!

Star Party
View the summer night sky at Morgan's Grove Park through the telescopes of the TriState Astronomers!
We will have at least one "smart telescope" setup with views displayed on a TSA computer tablet or on guest's personal smart phones (app download required). This is great for guests with physical limitations that have difficulty standing or viewing through a telescope eyepiece. This event is free and open to the public. Meet at the park pavillion! Suggestions: bring a flashlight for making your way through the dark and bring your curiousity!
