Morgan's Grove Park hosts many groups and organizations from fellow nonprofits, town halls, school sports programs, home-school outings to ROTC annual events. We are able to provide a clean, safe, well-kept building and park thanks to our many partners who give of their resources and time every year.
Boy Scouts—The local scouts have done much to support SCC and especially the park. Several Eagle Scouts have earned their rank through service projects that were completed for the Club.
Girl Scouts—The Girl Scouts have contributed a filter garden to the Park. They also perform service at club events.
Epic Soccer—When the main field was flooded and turned into a marsh, Epic Soccer came forward and offered to rehabilitate the fields. Since that time, they have regraded, mowed, and maintained the soccer fields. Their players also help move books for the Legendary Book Sale each year.
Kiwanis—These “Key” players have been helping at the Park since it first opened in 1961. When the walking trail was built, the Kiwanis club offered to maintain it. They added gravel when needed. They trimmed trees and more. The Kiwanis club still help with both Spring and Fall park clean up days.
Rotary Club of Shepherdstown— Recently they helped replace the roof on the historic Spring House. They donated 10 benches made of recycled plastic. The benches have been very much appreciated by the Park visitors.
Shepherd University Students—As part of their education requirements, Shepherd students are required to perform community service hours. The War Memorial Building and Morgan's Grove Park have been long-standing recipients of student volunteer work.
